We locate pet urine with UV light, treat it with enzymes and rinse the whole room with hot water. Drying is usually quick in Vista’s warm, dry air, often toward the short end of 3–6 hours. They did a very good job! First the woman on the phone Iris was very helpful and booked us for the very next morning. The workers were punctual and friendly and bilingual and did a great job. We vacuum loose soil first, then pre-treat the affected areas with a solution that breaks the bond between soil and fiber and give it time to work. Hot-water extraction then rinses it out. Brown shadows from months of tracked-in dirt usually lighten a great deal, although stains from fertilizer or clay may need spot treatment.

Usually 3–6 hours, and often on the shorter side thanks to the warm, dry inland air. Opening windows on a pleasant afternoon or running the air conditioning helps. Keep pets and outdoor shoes off the carpet until it is dry, otherwise fresh soil can stick to damp fibers.
