In many homes across Eastlake Greens, Eastlake Woods and Eastlake Vistas, the ground floor is tile and every step, landing and upstairs bedroom is carpet, so everything that gets tracked in ends up climbing to the second floor. Our truck-mounted hot-water extraction cleans each tread by hand and every bedroom to the base of the pile, with eco-friendly solutions that are safe for kids and pets. Most of Eastlake was built in the 1990s and 2000s as planned neighborhoods for growing families, and the floor plans show it: tile or laminate in the kitchen and family room, then carpet from the first stair up. That layout concentrates wear. Everyone who goes upstairs steps on the same spot on each tread, and the nose of the step takes the full weight. By the time the rest of the carpet looks acceptable, the stairs are often visibly darker and flattened.
Inland air adds its own layer. Eastlake is drier than the coast, and fine dust blows in from open space and construction on the eastern edge of Chula Vista. That dust is light enough to float into bedrooms and settle, so upstairs carpet gets dirty even in rooms no one walks through much. Kids playing on the floor, dogs sleeping at the end of the bed and the occasional accident on the landing complete the picture.
We start with a pre-vacuum and pre-treatment of each stair, clean treads, risers and edges with a hand tool, and then move to the hallway and bedrooms with the main wand. Pet spots are checked with UV light and treated with enzymes before extraction. For carpet that is now 15 or 20 years old, we are honest about what cleaning can do: soil and most stains will come out, but crushed or matted fibers on heavily used stairs may not fully stand back up. Most two-story Eastlake homes are finished in a single morning, which leaves the afternoon for drying before the kids get home.

One set of stairs is $69, standard bedrooms are $49, master bedrooms $55 and a large master $69. A small landing or hallway is $29 and a medium hallway $39. A typical Eastlake upstairs with stairs, landing, three bedrooms and a master usually falls in a predictable range, and we confirm the total before we start.
Every trip upstairs lands on the same small area of each tread, and the edge of the step takes the most pressure. Grit and skin oils pile up there fastest, and vacuums with a floor head cannot reach them well. We clean each step by hand, including the risers and the corners against the wall.
In most cases, yes. We locate urine spots with UV light, including ones that are not visible, and apply an enzyme treatment that breaks down the urine salts before hot-water extraction. Accidents that have soaked deep into the pad over months may need more than one treatment, and we will explain that before we begin.
Often it is. Carpet from the early 2000s is usually a durable synthetic that cleans up well, and removing embedded dust improves how the room looks and smells. What cleaning cannot fix is worn or matted fiber. During our walk-through we will point out which areas will improve dramatically and which may be near the end of their life.
