Carpet cleaning Rancho Santa Fe estates require is as much about judgment as equipment. Homes in the Covenant, Fairbanks Ranch and Santaluz often combine large expanses of wall-to-wall carpet with fine wool area rugs, custom upholstery and natural stone. Each surface needs a different approach, and some pieces should not be cleaned in the home at all. Area rugs deserve individual attention. We clean regular and wool area rugs on site. Silk, viscose, antique and hand-knotted pieces are evaluated before anything happens; if a rug is better suited to specialized in-plant care, we will say so plainly instead of risking it. We also lay protection over marble, limestone and hardwood along our hose routes and around rugs.
Equestrian life brings its own soil. Properties near The Bridges, Cielo and Fairbanks Ranch often see arena dust and fine soil carried in from barns and trails, especially through mudrooms and side entries. That dust is abrasive, and in large homes it spreads through long hallways. We pre-vacuum thoroughly, pre-treat traffic areas and clean with hot-water extraction. For larger estates, we plan the order of rooms so the household can keep using parts of the home while other areas dry, usually 3–6 hours. Guest houses and casitas can be included in the same visit. We also note any fibers that show sun fading or moth activity, which cleaning cannot reverse, so you can decide how to care for those pieces going forward. Our solutions are non-toxic and safe for kids and pets once dry.

They did a very good job! First the woman on the phone Iris was very helpful and booked us for the very next morning. The workers were punctual and friendly and bilingual and did a great job. Yes. Wool responds well to careful cleaning. We test dye stability, use a wool-safe solution at the right temperature and control moisture so the carpet dries evenly without shrinking or distorting. We also groom the pile so the finished carpet has a uniform appearance.
We evaluate silk, viscose, antique and hand-knotted rugs individually before any cleaning. Some can be cleaned carefully on site; others are better suited to specialized in-plant care. We will be honest about what is safe. Regular and wool rugs are cleaned on site, from $49 and $59.
We lay protective runners along hose routes, place barriers around carpet edges and lift rugs away from stone and wood before cleaning. Our solutions are kept off natural stone, and any drips are wiped immediately. Let us know about delicate finishes when you book so we can plan accordingly.
