They did a very good job! First the woman on the phone Iris was very helpful and booked us for the very next morning. The workers were punctual and friendly and bilingual and did a great job. Yes. We loosen embedded hair with a brush and upholstery vacuum before cleaning, which removes most of it and lets the solution reach the fibers. Some very fine hair can remain woven into textured fabrics, but regular vacuuming at home keeps it under control.
They are often crushed eucalyptus leaves or bark carried in on fur and shoes, which can leave oily, tannin-like marks. We pre-treat those spots specifically before the main cleaning. Most lighten considerably or disappear, and we will tell you if a mark has set.
Dog odor comes from skin oils, dander and sometimes urine in the fabric. We remove hair, clean and rinse away the oils and use UV light to find any urine, which gets an enzyme treatment. Deodorizing is optional, and we can skip fragrance entirely.
For the pieces your dog uses every day, we suggest every 6 months. Furniture in rooms the dog does not use can usually wait closer to 12 months. Regular cleaning keeps oils and grit from wearing the fabric down, and it keeps dog odor from building up between visits.
