We have used Imperial Carpet Care service several times throughout the years and they did a great job this time as always. The communication was easy and the service team was very professional. They helped removed some pet and coffee stains that have been there for a couple of years too. Highly recommend and would definitely hire again!

Fast water extraction, structural drying and carpet restoration after leaks, overflows and floods.
- Free assessment
- Kid & pet safe
- About 30 minutes from our shop
Water damage restoration in Rancho Santa Fe is mostly a matter of scale and care. Estates in The Covenant, Fairbanks Ranch, The Bridges, Cielo and Santaluz often have thousands of square feet of floor, long plumbing runs, guest houses and wings that are not used every day, plus fine wool and silk rugs, custom upholstery and natural stone. A leak in a part of the house that nobody walks through for a week can spread far before it is found. Our crew comes up from Point Loma in about 30 minutes, extracts water with truck-mounted equipment, dries the structure and handles delicate furnishings with care. The assessment is free. Please call 858-688-2246 as soon as possible after you find water.

Large estates, fine rugs and hidden leaks in Rancho Santa Fe
Big homes hide leaks. A supply line in a guest suite bathroom, an ice-maker in a butler's pantry or a water heater serving a casita can leak for days before anyone walks into that room. Long hot-water runs mean more fittings and more places for a pinhole to open. When the leak is finally found, water may have traveled under carpet, along baseboards and into adjoining rooms. Mapping moisture across the whole affected wing, not just the room where it was noticed, is the first step.
The furnishings deserve their own plan. Silk and fine wool rugs can bleed dye and brown when soaked, so they should come off wet floors immediately and be kept flat or loosely rolled, never folded wet. Custom upholstery with skirts or legs sitting on wet carpet can wick water up and transfer stains down. Natural stone and grout in entries and kitchens absorb water and hold it longer than ceramic tile. We move and protect these items as we work and point out anything that needs specialist attention.
Outside, equestrian facilities, extensive landscaping and long irrigation runs add more water sources, and winter storms can push runoff from pastures and slopes toward low doors, bringing soil and equestrian dust with it. That water is treated as contaminated. For every job we extract thoroughly, set up dehumidifiers and air movers sized to the space, apply an anti-microbial treatment and give an honest recommendation on carpet and pad. For owners who travel, we can work with the estate manager or housekeeper who provides access.

Leak awareness for Rancho Santa Fe estates and guest houses
- Ask your housekeeper or estate manager to walk through unused guest rooms and casitas weekly, checking under sinks and around toilets for drips.
- Install water sensors with phone alerts near water heaters, laundry rooms and bar sinks in wings that are not used every day.
- If fine rugs get wet, lift them off the floor right away and keep them flat or loosely rolled; do not fold or stack a wet silk rug.
- Before traveling, consider shutting off the water to guest houses and outbuildings that will sit empty.

Water Damage Restoration in Rancho Santa Fe: FAQs
A silk rug got wet in a leak. What should I do?
Lift it off the wet floor immediately, keep it flat or loosely rolled with the pile facing out and keep it away from direct sun and heat. Do not scrub it or try to dry it with a hair dryer. Silk is especially prone to dye bleeding and texture damage, so we assess it carefully and tell you honestly what we see.
The leak was in a guest house nobody has used for weeks. How serious is it?
Water that sits for weeks usually means the pad needs replacement, and the backing, baseboards and lower walls should be checked carefully for moisture and mold. It is not always a total loss. We map the full extent, extract and dry, and explain what can reasonably be saved.
Can you coordinate with my estate manager while I am away?
Yes. As long as someone can provide access and approve the work, we can explain the scope and drying plan to your estate manager or housekeeper. Ask them to photograph the source and affected rooms first, which also helps with any insurance claim.
Will natural stone floors be damaged by a leak?
Stone and grout absorb water and can hold it longer than ceramic tile, and some stones may darken or show efflorescence as they dry. Proper drying with dehumidifiers usually lets them return to normal. We measure moisture in stone areas as well as carpeted rooms during the assessment.
