On an island surrounded by salt water, moisture is always part of the picture, and it drives much of our odor removal in Coronado. Coronado has some of the oldest housing in the region, and older cottages in the Village and around the Country Club area were built long before modern ventilation standards. Constant marine humidity can keep carpet pads damp, especially in older cottages with limited ventilation or shaded rooms. If the pad stays damp, mildew returns. We extract thoroughly and dry the carpet as fast as possible, and we recommend steady airflow. If we detect active moisture from a leak, we will point it out.
Yes. We are about 15 minutes from Coronado, so we can often schedule quickly. We use UV light to find pet accidents, treat each one with enzymes and extract all carpeted rooms. Scheduling after the movers leave gives the best results and time for drying before the inspection.
We do. Condos at Coronado Shores and elsewhere on the island often develop a stale, musty odor when closed up, and some carry pet or smoke odors from previous occupants. We extract and deodorize the carpet and upholstery, and we can work around building access rules.
Yes. We clean regular and wool rugs on site, using enzyme treatment for urine. Remember that urine may also have reached the wood under the rug. We will check the floor as well and let you know if the odor source extends beyond the rug.
